The NAH Cardiovascular Service Line Administrator is responsible for management of the service line across NAH including physician relations, quality, growth, patient and physician satisfaction, marketing, and compliance programs. The Administrator will ensure there is consistency of administrative, operational, financial and business management of the service line in order to carry out the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of Northern Arizona Healthcare. The Administrator collaborates with the Cardiac Nursing Director and Surgical Services Director and Cardiac Catheterization lab leadership to maintain systems, policies, and processes that support service line compliance in order to meet all relevant federal and state requirements. The Administrator communicates effectively with medical, professional, administrative, and other personnel, to effectively present information both orally and in written form. The Administrator facilitates physician recruitment to support the growth and sustainability of key services. The Administrator evaluates financial performance of business units and new program opportunities; and provides recommendations for changes to improve results. The Administrator demonstrates understanding innovative physician compensation strategies and works closely with administration, compliance and legal advisors to analyze and recommend adoption of new contracts and service arrangements. The Administrator reports to the VP Operations, NAHMG at NAH and works closely with the medical director of the Cardiovascular Service Line. The Administrator creates culture of "best place to practice" cardiac care by developing, recruiting and retaining the very best providers.
Strategic Planning
* Develops and implements the Strategic Business Plan for the NAH Cardiovascular Service Line. Evaluates the plan and makes modifications as needed.
* Implements strategic planning for ongoing business development activities including recruitment, marketing, outreach, research, and financial support for the program to meet program goals.
* Facilitates the governance structure and decision-making process, including working with the Board as required.
* Responsible for the delivery of projects and budgets.
* Develops a vision centered on growth of the service line.
* Establishes goals and action plans to achieve current and future goals.
*Work with the Medical Directors of the service line to aid in the development of services.
Marketing And Outreach
* Oversees the coordination and implementation of marketing and outreach strategies.
* Participates in external marketing as it relates to programs, business, industry, and administration.
* Participates in community relations; participates in community meetings and events.
* Works with the NAH Marketing Department to develop marketing plans for the service line.
Operations
* Collaborates to achieve the highest level of clinical and financial outcomes and patient, physician, and staff satisfaction.
* Works with and provides direction to the leaders who oversee performance and quality improvement measures to ensure efficient and coordinated care is delivered across the continuum of care.
* Creates, monitors and controls budgets in collaboration with other leaders in the service line.
* Participates in negotiations with third-party payer contracts, physicians and/or other healthcare providers.
* Collaborates with Cardiac Nursing Director and Surgical Services Director to achieve quality outcomes and patient satisfaction in a fiscally responsible manner.
* Assesses clinical and technological capabilities and provides clinical consultative support to service line leadership.
* Monitors and communicates physician productivity, profitability, and quality.
* Maintains appropriate communication regarding activities (e.g., marketing, contracting, screenings, etc.), as well as the overall practice of service-line performance.
Leadership and People Management
* Establishes effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
* Monitors and manages provider satisfaction and employee engagement.
Corporate Compliance/Environmental Management
* Maintains and respects confidentiality and ensures privacy in all matters pertaining to patients and their care, as well as matters related to employees and health system business.
* Performs all obligations required by the NAH Corporate Compliance Program including reporting violations of corporate compliance to Vice President or designee when indicated and assisting other departments/employees with compliance issues as may be appropriate.
* Participates in the review, revision, and implementation of service line policies and procedures.
* Maintains department readiness for regulatory surveys.
* Participates in coordinating, implementing, and promoting departmental performance improvement activities.
Compliance/Safety
* Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Safety Event Reporting tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.
* Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.
* If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.
* Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a Healthcare related field- Required Master's Degree- Preferred
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Progressive Health Care Management/Administration- Required (within an Acute Care setting- Preferred.
Previous experience managing a Cardiovascular or related service line- Preferred
Experience with physician management- Required
Experience in the optimum deployment of care givers and administrative resources- Required
Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care.
