The Rehabilitation Technician, under the supervision of a licensed physical, occupational, or speech therapist, assists with treatment procedures and delivering patient care as directed by the therapist. S/he works with infants, children, adolescents, adults, and senior patients to meet therapist and departmental needs.
Patient Care * Reviews patient data prior to patient treatment. * Implements the Physical Therapist's treatment plan to achieve the stated goals and documents the patient's response to the treatment. * Obtains and records patient data. * Reports significant changes in patient condition to Physical Therapist. |
Patient Education * Oversees the initiated teaching and documents inpatient progress reports. * Demonstrates ability to use equipment according to procedure. * Demonstrates knowledge of patient/family education and teaching programs. |
Operations * Demonstrates the ability to track, organize and clean equipment for the area of responsibility. * Demonstrates the ability to track and order supplies for the area of responsibility. * Demonstrates knowledge of supply and equipment set-up of supplies &/or equipment for treatment procedures as directed by Physical Therapist. |
Compliance/Safety * Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner. * Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility. * If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates. * Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame. * Demonstrates the ability to participate in ongoing departmental process improvement. * Attends at least 75% of department meetings; responsible for 100% of meeting content by reviewing minutes, discussing with meeting facilitators, and/or reviewing presentations. |
