The Supply Technician 1 is responsible for the overall management of inventory in assigned nursing and/or ancillary unit(s) as it relates to supply replenishment, maximizing quality, minimizing costs and supporting department goals within supply chain objectives.
Operations * Picks orders utilizing the handheld scanner. * Utilizes lawson to identify products. * Delivers orders to clinical areas. * Cycle Count assigned areas. * Participates in annual year end physical inventory count. * Responsible for outdate management (first in, first out (FIFO) and bin rotation). * Answers emergency phone and supply requests. * Provides information regarding the supplies available in the warehouse. * Ensures existing inventory is issued and distributed. * Ensures sonsumable supplies are controlled to reduce obsolescence, outdates and waste by utilizing product rotation, outdate management and by communicating with the Supply Chain Leadership team. * Serves as a liaison for all replenishment orders and phone calls for emergent products. |
Documentation * Ensures timely order records, receiving records, packing slips stc. * Documents and reports inventory discrepancies (shortages and damaged products). |
Education * Teaches colleagues the standard inventory replenishment procedures. |
Compliance/Safety * Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner. * Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility. * If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates. * Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame. |
