Overview

The Director of Data Integrations and Business Applications is responsible for the overall management and improvement of the all business and data technology optimization efforts at Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH), including the management of the business applications Team. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing the systems and processes for data acquisition, management, and participate in governance at NAH. The Director will oversee data integration processes and lead strategic initiatives to enhance the organization's data capabilities. The Director oversees organizational support related to all
business services and possesses operational knowledge surrounding processes and procedures, workflows, optimization, and overall department structure where applicable. The director is expected to work independently and in partnership with all departmental leaders to scope, strategize, prioritize, resource-broker, root-cause analyze, and define all business and data strategy, roadmap, adoption, and optimization efforts across all campuses and business lines. Director must be willing to challenge inefficiencies and propose alternatives that reduce or eliminate inefficiencies while meeting organizational requirements. Responsibilities

Strategy, Planning and Implementing
* Research and negotiate the best tools to support operations.

* Manage the integration of data between internal systems, applications, and external partners.

* Ensure smooth and secure data exchange, minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

* Oversee the implementation of data management tools, driving automation and efficiency.

* Support cross-functional teams in optimizing data flows and resolving integration challenges.

* Create and maintain appropriate and efficient workflows.

* Help the organization achieve cost-cutting goals by presenting expertise and opinions of alternatives when appropriate.

* While reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director should be in consistent contact with key organizational leaders and decision makers;ensuring that appropriate understanding of strategy and decisions is known before timelines are set.

 
Department Management
* Provide leadership, management, coaching, and strategy expertise to the key leaders within ERP business areas; including but limited to Supply Chain, Finance Business Intelligence and Human Resources as well as the other business leaders utilizing applications supported.

* Cultivates and maintains strong working relationships with NAH leadership team; helping to assure technical resources are appropriately allocated to accomplish organizational NAH objectives.

* Builds, maintains, and enhances the ERP and Business Application relationships with all IT; helping establish the technical strategy for the organization.

 
Financial Management
* Evaluates and negotiates vendor contracts as appropriate.

* Assists in annual budgeting process for responsible IT teams.

* Ensures that project/department milestones and goals are met in adherence to approved budget; including but not limited to capital/operating budgetsand productivity.

 
People Management
* Hires, provides performance assessments and feedback, and develops staff.

* Conducts timely performance reviews and provides on-going feedback.

* Establishes and monitors individual and team goals and objectives.

* Approves time and PTO on a weekly basis.

* Creates opportunities to celebrate the accomplishments of staff, providers, and peers.

* Challenges people, ideas, and opinions to develop the best possible support.

 
Compliance/Safety
* Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.

* Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.

* If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.

* Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field- Required
 
Experience
3-5years experience working within Healthcare information technology - Required
8 years of progressive experience in healthcare information technology - Preferred
Project Management experience- Preferred
2 years in a management role - Preferred

Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care. Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department. Colleagues must have an understanding of computers, and competence in using computers and basic software programs.
