The Director of Medical Systems and Services oversees all imaging functions across the system in hospital and outpatient settings and manages relationships with community partners and providers. This role collaborates and works to build and maintain strong partnerships with Chief Medical Officers, Chief Nursing Officers, Chief Administrative Officers and other members of the Senior Leadership and management teams in the establishment of the organization’s strategic imaging services/outcomes/approaches across the NAH System.
This position leads Flagstaff market, the Verde Valley market, and any other areas of outreach and is responsible for planning, directing and supervising the operations of NAH Imaging Services through coordination and efficient utilization of organizational resources. Key to this role is system-wide strategy development and oversight of execution to ensure we are meeting access and care needs and utilizing equipment that meets or exceeds all regulations and standards.
This position will provide strategic and tactical leadership in the areas of Imaging fiscal management, recruitment and retention, organizational development, succession planning, employee health and wellness/population health, inventory management, budget
compliance, optimization, employee relations, and compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws.
System Integrity
* Facilitates organizational success across the system and ensures resourcing of managers to cascade clinical excellence to clinical staff and strong metrics.
* Ensures adequate and volume-based staff resourcing to meet department workload requirements.
* Oversees various programs and leverages existing clinical software applications into development opportunities.
* Integrates technology to optimize patient safety system-wide.
* Collaborates with relevant internal and external stakeholders to integrate Imaging services system-wide and to ensure optimal health outcomes and regulatory adherence/compliance.
* Facilitates managers success in maintaining and realizing novel approaches to broaden access to resources and knowledge.
* Ensures regulatory compliance across the system and continuum of care.
Leadership/Management
*Responsible for management of the Imaging service line functions across NAH including physician relations, quality, growth, patient and physician satisfaction, marketing, and compliance programs.
* Ensures consistent and effective leadership of administrative, operational, financial and business management of the service line in order to carry out the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of Northern Arizona Healthcare.
* Develops partnerships and communicates effectively with medical, professional, administrative, and other personnel, to effectively present information, drive and sustain change both orally and in written form.

Compliance/Safety
* Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.
* Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.
* If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.
* Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.
* Accountable for knowing and maintaining all areas of compliance – DNV, CMS, etc.

* Monitor trends related to safety and overseeing improvement – respond with appropriate level of urgency.

* Knowledge of key quality metrics specific to department and NAH – monitors, creates, communicates action plans.

Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology- Required
Masters Degree- Preferred
Certification and Licensure:
Maintain current Imaging License- Required
Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)- Required
Experience:
Minimum 7 years in hospital Radiology - Required
Minimum of 5 years of progressive hospital managerial experience- Required
Previous hospital system leadership - Preferred
