Overview

The Donor Relations Stewardship and Special Projects position supports the NAH Office of Philanthropy (OOP) donor stewardship and relations programs, fostering a culture of appreciation, recognition, accountability and ongoing engagement of NAH's donors, thereby strengthening philanthropic support of healthcare in Northern Arizona.

Responsibilities

Program Development
* Assist Philanthropy Manager and OOP team to develop and implement stewardship programs to support fundraising efforts.

* Represent the Office of Philanthropy in meetings, conferences, organization orientations and events where necessary.

* Uphold established Office of Philanthropy protocols related to donor records, including documenting interactions with donors and other organizations.

* Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by VP of Development Philanthropy or Chief Philanthropy Officer.

* Coordinate with marketing to create program collateral and mass marketing/communications.

 
Donor Stewardship
* Serve as event lead for internal and external stewardship and fundraising events, including the Dawn Tebelak Memorial Golf Tournament, A Night of Inspiration NAH Scholarships and Awards Banquet, department panels, high-end salons and other events as appropriate.

* Event liaison for any service line department requests. Ensure timely distribution of first-time donor postcards and donor acknowledgement letters, including obtaining signatures from appropriate OOP leader.

* Manage all donor walls, memorial walls, and physical recognition honoring donors’ contributions

* Coordinate all donor photo opportunities and impact videos

 
Project Management
* Serve as Heart of Gratitude (HoG) process lead, , scheduling HoG internal presentations and maintaining proper data upkeep

* Manage scholarship and awards program process, committee, applications and awarding

* Key partner in all communication that includes donor impact stories or reports to donors including the newsletter and annual report.

* Tracks impact throughout the year to include in annual report.

* Working with Sr. Donor Relations, eEnsuring timely and accurate impact reports for individual and corporate donors who contribute over $10,000.

* Manage any new stewardship initiatives assigned by team in preparation for a capital campaign.

* Create and manage donor recognition program, in partnership with Sr. Donor Relations Specialist, including exploring future concierge service.

* Dotted line to VP and Chief of Philanthropy for any office duties including, but not limited to: power point creation, office purchases, Canva designs, managing philanthropy one-pagers, creating invoices and gift agreements.

* This position will be situated in the front of our office to answer general phone line, greet visitors and oversee the Philanthropy email inbox

* Present at monthly New Colleague Orientation on behalf of Philanthropy

 
Knowledge and Skill Application
* A sound working knowledge of fundraising principles.

* Proven experience in fundraising, strategic planning and of project management.

* Proven ability to work with donors and as part of a development team.

* The ability to comprehend and effectively communicate NAH's mission to donors.

* Proven ability to work independently and take initiative in effectively communicating NAH's projects and goals.

* Commitment to professional ethics in working with highly confidential, sensitive information.

* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and resolve problems quickly.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills, in English, as well as superior interpersonal, organization and motivational skills.

* Familiarity with donor/customer database management and online fundraising tools.

* Strong technical skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Canva.

* Ability to be an effective team member, motivator and team leader.

* Moderate travel for meetings, donor visits and events.

 
Compliance/Safety
* Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.

* Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.

* If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.

* Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.

Qualifications

Education
 
Bachelor’s degree - Preferred
 
Experience
 
Minimum two years experience in a nonprofit setting or equivalent -Required
Minimum one year experience in project management - Preferred

Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care. Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department. Colleagues must have an understanding of computers, and competence in using computers and basic software programs.
