The Data Analytics Manager will lead a specialized team focused on developing and advancing solutions that drive data-informed decision-making while fostering a culture of analytics excellence. Critical to success is a proven ability to analyze corporate goals and establish and execute operational action plans across organizational boundaries.
The ideal candidate must be able to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, think abstractly, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders—including clinical and business leaders as well as technical analysts and system administrators. This versatility in communication and strategic thinking will directly impact the effectiveness and efficiency of the role.
Leadership & Collaboration
* Model leadership traits and customer service behaviors, through interactions with both internal and external customers, partners and suppliers.
* Serve as a thought leader and mentor on business domain and analytical techniques to elevate team performance.
* Lead a blended team of solution architects, consultants and key partners in the delivery of pragmatic solutions, aligned to strategic program road-maps.
* Develop strong technical competencies related to data management principles; including data engineering and platform services that support the NAH Business Intelligence team.
*Effectively manage team performance and expectations to support our clinical and business operations teams.
*Build and maintain an effective team to support the core functions of advanced analytics.
Technical Accountability
*Partner with Information Technology to align technology needs required to support high-volume analytic data processing, including the expansion of data science services.
*Synthesize analysis and results into compelling storylines and communicate effectively to influence key stakeholders. Demonstrate the ability to tell a story around the problem while defining and implementing solutions.
*Ensuring data governance rigor is enforced and managed effectively to ensure data integrity within analytic solutions. Serves as custodian of all Business Intelligence data assets used for decision-making.
*Lead a data research practice that drives innovation through emerging technologies.
*Ensuring current and proposed data management tools and platforms support the overall vision of NAH’s data analytics strategy.
*Technical thought leader and member of the NAH data governance technology council.
Communication
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills while managing a diverse set of executives, business, and clinical stakeholder interests—translating business desires for functionality into technical plans and technical constraints into business realities.
* Serve as an enterprise resource for education surrounding data management, analytics and key quality and regulatory requirements.
*Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
*Facilitate sessions with technical and business partners to ensure that our data products and services align with expected results.
Change Management
* Champion Data Stewardship by working with data source owners and subject matter experts to regularly validate the completeness and accuracy of data.
*Assists with the advancement of Data and Analytics education, throughout the organization.
Compliance and Safety
* Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion, attends all safety-related training programs, performs work in a safe manner, monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.
* Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee’s areas of responsibility.
* If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.
* Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in a technical or quantitative field – Required.
Equivalent combination of degree and years of experience will be considered.
Experience
• 2+ years in leadership roles, directly managing employees - Required (experience in matrixed organizations and leadership structures, preferred).
• Experience with strategic planning using quantitative techniques - Required.
• Experience working with large datasets and using statistical analysis techniques - Required.
• Experience with delivering analytic projects that add significant value to the organization – Required
• A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience with programming languages (Python, R, etc.) for
data manipulation and automation - Required.
• A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in data systems architecture and processes that
support advanced analytic solutions – Preferred.
• Experience with cloud platform & services (i.e., Azure, AWS, Oracle OCI) – Preferred.
• Experience with implementing M/L frameworks in healthcare settings – Preferred.
