The Anesthesia Technician l assists with daily anesthesia needs hospital wide. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: daily morning anesthesia machine check outs, room turnovers between cases, patient transport and maintaining anesthesia stock throughout the house-wide anesthesia cluster. Anesthesia Technician l has knowledge of all anesthesia equipment and tools and is responsible for delivering all necessary equipment to anesthesia providers house-wide.

This position requires successful completion of a competency-based training program for BLS certfication before performing patient transport duties.

This position's work location is on site only.

Operations
* Performs room turnovers between cases.

* Transports patients with all necessary equipment and monitors from our Critical Care Units.

* Maintains all necessary stocking in rooms and in all NORA locations..

Equipment
* Performs daily anesthesia machine checks.

*Delivers all necessary equipment to anesthesia providers house-wide.

Compliance/Safety
* Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.

* Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.

* If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.

* Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.

Education
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience - Required

Certification & Licensures
BLS- Required prior to performing Job duties independently or within 60 days after hired.

Employee will obtain and maintain appropriate clinical competencies for the roles assigned by their departmental leader.

Experience
Previous experience in a healthcare setting - Preferred
