Overview

The Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist serves as a critical support resource for Human Resources operations, delivering exceptional customer service and technical expertise for HRIS and HR-related inquiries. This position provides comprehensive operational and technical support to the Human Resources departments at Northern Arizona Healthcare, ensuring seamless system functionality and data accuracy.

The HRIS Specialist has the ability to act in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The HRIS Specialist is expected to work within a complex environment where dealing with some level of ambiguity is required.

Responsibilities

Administrative
* Receives and reviews employee changes submitted by recruitment, compensation and organization management. Routes employee changes to the appropriate party for further clarification if needed before processing.

* Enters employee changes into HRIS system and files documents as needed into the employee file.

* Responsible for reviewing and filing daily audit reports.

* Manage and maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

* Deliver customer service support for Human Resources inquiries across the organization

* Supports system-wide HR initiatives and process improvements

HR Support
* Provides first line general HR support and information by answering employee questions; referring complex questions to the appropriate person.

* Acts as the first point of contact for assigned functional areas.

* Provide HRIS support and training to employees, answering queries and offering guidance.

* Collaborate with subject matter experts to maintain and ensure data integrity within HR information systems

Total Rewards Support
* Assists with building and editing Job Profiles.

* Able to maintain spreadsheets with complex formulas.

* Assists with mass email communication to employees.

* Assists with gathering, reviewing and updating information regarding resumes for Market Reviews.

* Assist with uploads for Tuition Reimbursement.

Qualifications

Education
 
High School Diploma or GED- Required

Bachelor's Degree- Preferred
 
Experience
 
3 years experience in customer service/office setting- Required

Strong working knowledge of various computer applications (MS Excel and MS Word)- Required

1 year experience in Human Resources- Preferred

Previous experience working in Human Resources Informatics System- Preferred

Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care. Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department. Colleagues must have an understanding of computers, and competence in using computers and basic software programs.
