Communication * Documents observations, interventions, and patient responses. * Provides psychological and social support for patient/families. * Triages incoming telephone calls and responds to phone messages. * Communicates laboratory and diagnostic data to physician and patient under direction of provider. |


Patient Care * Contributes to patient assessment and care delivery by collecting and reporting relevant data. * Uses pain assessment tools to determine and monitor patient pain levels. * Assists physicians with dressing changes, suture removals, and other minor procedures. * Participates in developing patient care strategies and care plans. * Ensures smooth patient flow and efficient processing in an outpatient clinic setting. * Processes provider orders and performs follow-up assessments after procedures. * Educates patients and families about procedures, protocols, testing, and care needs as directed by the supervising RN or Physician. * Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceuticals, including expected effects and potential side effects. * Reports adverse medication reactions promptly to the provider. * Performs medical interventions and sterile procedures as required as within the scope of LPN practice. |


Administrative * Prioritizes and problem solves to meet patient demands. * Reviews clinical schedule; ensures emergency referrals are scheduled accordingly. |


Compliance/Safety * Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner. * Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility. * If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates. * Completes company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame. |
High School diploma or GED- Required
Graduate from an accredited LPN program/ post one year RN program.- Required
Current unrestricted Arizona LPN license Required
BLS (American Heart Association) certification- Required
IV certification - Preferred
ACLS & PALS (must be obtained within one year of hire)- Required
