This is an onsite role located at our hospital in Flagstaff, AZ.
This position designs and implementation the onboarding, educational content and training for newly hired and current staff and leaders to ensure they are knowledgeable Northern Arizona Healthcare workflow processes, regulatory requirements, respective roles and related competencies. Specific educational content developed will include how to use essential clinical applications and how to perform essential job functions and competencies. This position will rely heavily on the ability to independently and proficiently use technology, manage classrooms of people, as well as the ability to communicate and present professionally in order to effectively teach in person and remotely. This position identifies educational needs, designing educational material. Design engaging courses to explain technical procedures and best practices.
Process Improvement * Demonstrates knowledge of workflow development and implementation training development to support standard clinical practices. * Demonstrates the ability to persuade and train physicians and staff to adopt new workflows and tools, requiring a strong knowledge of change management. * Demonstrates the ability to map real-life nursing practices to informatics applications. • Conduct IT skills gap analyses annually to evaluate current coursework. * Demonstrates the ability to optimize clinical end-user workflow and enhance clinical efficiencies through the use of available technical and process improvement tools. * Promotes the integration between clinical areas and IT regarding the development and translation of business needs, utilizing reporting tools and methodologies. * Provides writing and documentation support to capture and support business area reporting requirements and education requirements. |
Teamwork/Operations Management * Collaborates with IT, physicians, nurses, ancillary departments to support medication process and other clinical initiatives to support best practice. * Demonstrates the ability to learn and implement new systems, applications, software to support the clinical departments. • Conduct IT skills gap analyses annually to evaluate current coursework. • Design technical workflow support guides using simple language • Conduct role-specific training on tools and programs each team uses daily in EMR. • Research and recommend learning tools • Apply educational methods to engage trainees • Evaluate the effectiveness of each educational session • Maintain updated records of training curriculum and materials" |
Data Integrity * Maintains knowledge of major IT initiatives impacting physicians, nursing/healthcare staff, including IT projects. |
Compliance/Safety * Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner. * Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility. * If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates. * Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame. * Adheres to IT change management rules and documentation requirements. * Maintains knowledge of hospital operations, associated technologies, and Health Information Exchange for ambulatory and hospital data integration. |
