Additionally, the PCT may function in an office assistant role and answer the telephone, answer questions within their capabilities the patient or their support individuals may have, and perform data entry and data collection.

The Patient Safety Attendant under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, is responsible for providing generalized support services in accordance with the Nursing Plan of Care and Medical/Surgical Standards of Care and Practice. S/he must follow all policies/procedures of Northern Arizona Healthcare. S/he performs other duties, as assigned or directed, that are within the scope and abilities of the individual's training. The PSA may interact with patients and/or families, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
The House Supervisor assumes administrative responsibility for all hospital services during all shifts, makes decisions in the best interest of our patients and reports critical incidents to the Senior Administrator On Call. S/he will be vested with the authority to intervene in order to assure the safe and efficient operations of the hospital.
The Nurse Resident is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age-specific groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. Nurse Residents will be under the direct supervision of a preceptor for all principal duties and responsibilities during the training program with eventual transition to independent practice after successful training program completion. Upon completion of the yearlong (12 months) nurse resident program the nurse resident will transition to the RN job description.

The Medical Laboratory Assistant is a vital member of the Laboratory team in a hospital setting. This individual plays a key role in supporting the MLT/MLS in performing a variety of laboratory procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The primary responsibilities include specimen processing, specimen shipping (send-outs), analyzer loading, waived testing, PCR testing, laboratory maintenance, data entry, and adherence to quality control and safety protocols. This is a supportive role that does not include resulting reporting.
The Anesthesia Technician l assists with daily anesthesia needs hospital wide. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: daily morning anesthesia machine check outs, room turnovers between cases, patient transport and maintaining anesthesia stock throughout the house-wide anesthesia cluster. Anesthesia Technician l has knowledge of all anesthesia equipment and tools and is responsible for delivering all necessary equipment to anesthesia providers house-wide.
This position requires successful completion of a competency-based training program for BLS certfication before performing patient transport duties.
