The Lead Radiation Therapist is responsible for ensuring quality radiation therapy is consistently and accurately delivered as instructed by Dosimetrists, Chief Medical Physicist and Physician. S/he oversees the workflow and adjustments as needed to ensure patient care is not disrupted. The Lead Radiation Therapist functions as a part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and serves as a technical advisor to other members of the multidisciplinary team and the Radiation Therapist. The PCT, including all hospital units and departments and the Float/Flex Pool PCT, under the supervision of the charge nurse, clinical manager, and/or director, is responsible for assisting in patient care, documentation and supply management. PCTs keep the unit supplied, clean, and organized.
