We are looking for a dedicated physician to join Northern Arizona Healthcare Medical Group, which is the largest group practice north of the Phoenix Metro area. As a member of the Cardiovascular Institute, you will be part of a team of 19 physicians and 20 advanced practice providers. The specialties include general cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, sleep medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular surgery. The Cardiovascular Institute has 9 care locations throughout the region and is affiliated with Phoenix Cardiac Surgery and Arizona Associated Surgeons. The PCT, including all hospital units and departments and the Float/Flex Pool PCT, under the supervision of the charge nurse, clinical manager, and/or director, is responsible for assisting in patient care, documentation and supply management. PCTs keep the unit supplied, clean, and organized. Additionally, the PCT may function in an office assistant role and answer the telephone, answer questions within their capabilities the patient or their support individuals may have, and perform data entry and data collection.
The PCT in the discharge unit is for assisting discharged patients, coordinating discharge logistics and assisting patients in utilizing resources and accessing health related services.
Ensuring the achievement of Northern Arizona Healthcare’s mission, the Registered Nurse is accountable for the coordination of care for patients and their families including direct care, patient and family education and discharge planning. When providing care, Registered Nurses follow the process of assessing, nursing diagnosing, outcome identification, planning, implementing and evaluation as the basis for the delivery of care. The Registered Nurse provides leadership for ancillary personnel by being a team leader, serving as a preceptor, and being an active member of the healthcare team.The nurse practices within the ANA Scope of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and the standards of his/ or her specialty.
