The Buyer is responsible for the procurement process of supplies to support the daily operations of NAH departments by processing assigned department requisition requests. This position works closely with all NAH department requestors and is focused towards efficiency, cost reduction and control, inventory reduction and supply conversions. Processes supply returns and equipment repairs. Ensures contract compliance for all purchases. Provides operational support and intelligence to NAH Managers and Directors as requested in matters of supply expense. This position's work location is on site only.

Prepares food for patients, visitors, and staff using menus, recipes, production sheets, tally sheets, cooking equipment, cooking methods, and using safe food handling techniques to help provide optimal nutritional care and wellness. Ensures that food production is of high quality and that all foods are prepared, cooked, and served in accordance with specified recipes and procedures. Maintains and carries out all NAH policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all CMS, County and other applicable regulatory agencies. Assists the kitchen supervisor through a variety of activities including assistance with hiring, training, scheduling and supervising of kitchen staff.

The practice of Occupational Therapy shall include assessment, treatment, planning, implementing, education, communication and demonstration of leadership to address the needs of patients and their families as well as to foster a positive working relationship among professionals and ancillary staff. As a member of the team, this position will also perform a variety of clerical duties, while providing assistance to patients, technologists and radiologists. This position demonstrates excellent communication skills and effectively works with a multidisciplinary staff, patients, and their caregivers.

The Medical Scribe, working within a clinical practice, will assist physicians with their nonclinical duties. S/he will extemporaneously transcribe the patient’s medical record for the physician, assist the physician in retrieving old medical records, lab results, and radiology results. The Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) provides basic life support to the ill or injured patient in the pre-hospital setting. This person will have knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmental needs across the life span. This position is responsible for operating hydraulic gurneys and power lifts, emergency and non-emergency ambulance driving, and the use of portable ambulance medical equipment.

The Medical Office Receptionist undertakes a variety of day-to-day office and clerical tasks to ensure that office operations run smoothly and are successful in supporting other business activities. The Medical Office Receptionist obtains insurance information, collects payments and works with the scheduling system as well as acts as an interdepartmental staff liaison between staff, providers and customers to ensure professional service and promote customer relations. The Medical Office Receptionist is able to function with minimal supervision and demonstrates appropriate decision making skills within established guidelines, maintains strict confidentiality, and utilizes discretion at all times.
