The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in both diagnostic studies and therapeutic treatments and creates diagnostic images according to established standards. Provides basic patient care, processes films, maintains equipment, transports patients, and prepares and maintains documentation.

Under general supervision of the provider, the Medical Assistant (MA) Certified works with members of the departmental health care team to provide assistance to providers, patients, and their families ensuring smooth work and patient flow. The MA Certified, under the supervision of the provider, is responsible for conducting initial and on-going assessments of the patient and working with the provider on their procedures and/or exams. This includes but is not limited to, reviewing the patient medical record and conducting per-visit interview with patient, documenting medical history and assessing need for referrals and prescription renewals. The MA Certified also assists in the coordination of clerical information to provide patient care and assists with patient follow up.
In Community Care Management, the MA also assists in following up with health management/care plans with both patients and providers. The MA works closely with medical providers, primary care teams and other agencies to improve communication, services, patient care and outcomes.

The nurse practices within the ANA Scope of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and the standards of his/ or her specialty.

The Cardiac Services System Clinical Manager is a single incumbent highly responsible position that provides system leadership and strong management for all operational aspects and activities in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Cardiology Service, Cardiovascular Operation Room and/or Cardiac Rehabilitation departments for all campuses (Flagstaff, Cottonwood) . This position provides cross-health system leadership by modeling the organization’s philosophy and values, integrating our mission and vision into daily activities and future planning. This role dedicates efforts toward collaboration, innovation, and enabling others by using a systematic approach to continual improvement. This role also develops and implements policies, procedures, and practices that guide and support provision of services; and recommends a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care of the cardiovascular patients receiving invasive cardiovascular procedures and non-invasive testing, evaluation, program therapies/rehab.
The position demonstrates a high degree of organizational skill necessary to coordinate the complex logistics involved in bringing together patients, medical, nursing, and technical staff, and to coordinate all activities and equipment across multiple campuses. The role is responsible for maintaining the technical infrastructure components and software applications/tools necessary to provide uninterrupted patient services within the cross-campus health system departments including: image acquisition, storage and retrieval; clinical data acquisition and management; inventory management; and other equipment required for patient preparation/recovery, and the provision of diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
The position provides direct supervision to all teams in Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiology Services, CVOR and Cardiac Rehab, including nursing, technical, and clerical staff. The role is responsible for preparing and effectively managing capital and operating budgets and must devise and implement sound fiscal processes in accordance with hospital, State, and Federal regulatory guidelines.
Cross-campus travel to the various service locations of the cardiovascular departments is routinely expected as part of the job.

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) Clinic, under the supervision of the Practice Supervisor or Manager, nurse, therapist, lead or Director, is responsible for assisting in patient care, documentation and supply management in the clinic or outpatient department. S/he may collaborate with the Medical Assistant to support the provider(s) in providing patient care.
The PCT Clinic will also work to keep the unit supplied, clean, and organized. The PCT Clinic may function in an office assistant role within the clinic and/or department and answers the telephone, answers questions within their capabilities the patient or their support individuals may have. S/he follows all policies and procedures of Northern Arizona Healthcare. They perform or assist with procedures that fall within the scope of practice of a PCT in addition to office assistant duties. The PCT Clinic may be caring for infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics populations.
