The OR Scrub Tech, under the supervision of Director and/or Clinical Manager/Coordinator, is responsible for preparing supplies and equipment for interventions, using appropriate techniques. Provides technical services as assigned and directed. The OR Scrub Tech assists and/or performs patient procedures that are within the scope of their unit specific Skills Summation. This position works in an in-patient / hospital based environment.

Ensuring the achievement of Northern Arizona Healthcare’s mission, the Charge RN, under the supervision of the Clinical
Manager/Director, is responsible for overseeing and directing the patient care activities on the unit during a worked shift. When providing
leadership to the department, the Charge RN acts as an advocate for the shift, making sure the Clinical Manager/Director are aware of
the unique needs of the shift. The Charge RN provides leadership for nursing personnel by being a team leader, serving as a preceptor,
and being an active member of the health care team. The Charge RN practices within the ANA Scope of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and the standards of his/ or her specialty.
The Histology Aid collects, accessions, and assists in processing specimens of human tissue and is responsible for up-front specimen handling and facilitating the workflow in and out of the laboratory, performing a variety of clerical and preprocessing duties, and interacting with others using a variety of communication tools. S/he uses various chemicals and equipment for processing, embedding, microtomy, special stains, and cytology prep, following laboratory standard operating procedures. The Histology Aid also performs pre-analytical phase of specimen preparation and must handle bio-hazardous and infectious material while following proper safety precautions.
This position is responsible for providing patient care and assists health care providers in performing assigned patient procedures within
scope of training. Position receives general supervision from RN, APN, PA, or Physician in providing patient care.
The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for the collection and receipt of specimens, proper entry into the LIS computer, preparation of samples for analytical testing, and the distribution of specimens to the analytical testing areas. Responsible for arranging daily activities based on urgency of requests. This position is also responsible for point of care testing as assigned, and therapeutic phlebotomy procedures. The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for the clerical aspects of post analytical testing and interacting with others using a variety of communication tools. Must handle bio-hazardous and infectious material while following universal precautions and OSHA guidelines.
This position is located in NAH Laboratory Departments only and not in NAH Medical Group Primary Care/Family Practice Clinics.
The PCT, including all hospital units and departments and the Float/Flex Pool PCT, under the supervision of the charge nurse, clinical manager, and/or director, is responsible for assisting in patient care, documentation and supply management. PCTs keep the unit supplied, clean, and organized. Additionally, the PCT may function in an office assistant role and answer the telephone, answer questions within their capabilities the patient or their support individuals may have, and perform data entry and data collection.
The PCT in the discharge unit is for assisting discharged patients, coordinating discharge logistics and assisting patients in utilizing resources and accessing health related services.
The PCT in the Labor Delivery and Post Partum Breastfeeding Center does not provide direct patient care.
The PCT follows all policies and procedures of Northern Arizona Healthcare. They perform or assist with procedures that fall within the scope of practice of a PCT, and work closely with all members of the interdisciplinary team. The PCT may be caring for infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics populations.
The Float/Flex Pool PCT may be asked to work on any unit in the hospital that is in need of a PCT, change departments during a shift or be asked to work as a Patient Safety Attendant based on need whereupon the PCT duties will cease if assigned to sit 1:1 with a patient; and must complete the same required documentation as a PSA. Call will be required for the Float/Flex Pool PCT.
This position's location is on site only.
