The OR Scrub Tech, under the supervision of Director and/or Clinical Manager/Coordinator, is responsible for preparing supplies and equipment for interventions, using appropriate techniques. Provides technical services as assigned and directed. The OR Scrub Tech assists and/or performs patient procedures that are within the scope of their unit specific Skills Summation. This position works in an in-patient / hospital based environment.

The PCT, including all hospital units and departments and the Float/Flex Pool PCT, under the supervision of the charge nurse, clinical manager, and/or director, is responsible for assisting in patient care, documentation and supply management. PCTs keep the unit supplied, clean, and organized. Additionally, the PCT may function in an office assistant role and answer the telephone, answer questions within their capabilities the patient or their support individuals may have, and perform data entry and data collection.   The PCT in the discharge unit is for assisting discharged patients, coordinating discharge logistics and assisting patients in utilizing resources and accessing health related services.   The PCT in the Labor Delivery and Post Partum Breastfeeding Center does not provide direct patient care.   The PCT follows all policies and procedures of Northern Arizona Healthcare. They perform or assist with procedures that fall within the scope of practice of a PCT, and work closely with all members of the interdisciplinary team. The PCT may be caring for infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics populations.   The Float/Flex Pool PCT may be asked to work on any unit in the hospital that is in need of a PCT, change departments during a shift or be asked to work as a Patient Safety Attendant based on need whereupon the PCT duties will cease if assigned to sit 1:1 with a patient; and must complete the same required documentation as a PSA. Call will be required for the Float/Flex Pool PCT.   This position's location is on site only.

Ensuring the achievement of Northern Arizona Healthcare’s mission, the Supplemental Work and Transition (SWAT) Relief Registered Nurse, under the supervision of the Clinical Manager/Director, is responsible for collaborating with the Administrative Coordinator, Charge RN, nursing staff, physicians and ancillary department staff to provide patient care and facilitate patient throughput throughout the hospital. When providing services and leadership to the department, the SWAT RN acts as an advocate for the shift, making sure the Administrative Coordinator/Charge RNs are aware of the unique needs of the shift. The SWAT RN provides leadership for nursing personnel by being a team leader, serving as a preceptor, and being an active member of the health care team. The Diagnostic/Xray Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures using stationary and mobile radiographic equipment according to established standards. This position provides basic patient care, processes films, maintains equipment, transports patients and prepares and maintains documentation.   Diagnostic/Xray Technologist 1 works in the following environments predominately: outpatient, pain/palliative care, children's health, orthopedics, portable and inpatient, and may work in less than three of the following: fluro, o-arm, trauma, operating room and dexascan. The Electroneurodiagnostic Technician performs all neurology diagnostic tests. This responsibility includes the process of planning, education, implementation, communication and leadership. This person may provide service to patients from neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult and senior age groups. S/he will have the knowledge and skills to care for the needs of these populations.

The Social Worker provides supportive counseling, crisis intervention, case management and community resource referrals. The social worker collaborates with the rest of the team to identify, assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate options and services to meet the complex needs of patients.   This role lends emotional and social support during the active treatment and recovery period. This includes assisting patients in meeting their emotional, psychosocial needs, performing diagnostic assessments, crisis interventions, social and financial concerns, and coordinating a plan of care to address patient/family needs and providing information and referrals as needed. This position in the Palliative Care Clinic and Radiation Oncology Clinic also includes performing short-term individual and family psychotherapy.   This position facilitates support groups and education activities for patients, families and the general public. Provides case management services including referrals to homecare, hospice and supportive care with a multitude of community agencies and other agencies. Assists patients with housing and transportation needs.
