The PCT, including all hospital units and departments and the Float/Flex Pool PCT, under the supervision of the charge nurse, clinical manager, and/or director, is responsible for assisting in patient care, documentation and supply management. PCTs keep the unit supplied, clean, and organized. Additionally, the PCT may function in an office assistant role and answer the telephone, answer questions within their capabilities the patient or their support individuals may have, and perform data entry and data collection.
The PCT in the discharge unit is for assisting discharged patients, coordinating discharge logistics and assisting patients in utilizing resources and accessing health related services.
Northern Arizona Healthcare inpatient pharmacies are 24 hour, fully computerized departments with integrated lab/pharmacy/charting systems, automated dispensing, box picker, and computerized physician order entry. The Patient Safety Attendant under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, is responsible for providing generalized support services in accordance with the Nursing Plan of Care and Medical/Surgical Standards of Care and Practice.
