The Medical Office Receptionist undertakes a variety of day-to-day office and clerical tasks to ensure that office operations run smoothly and are successful in supporting other business activities. The Medical Office Receptionist obtains insurance information, collects payments and works with the scheduling system as well as acts as an interdepartmental staff liaison between staff, providers and customers to ensure professional service and promote customer relations. The Sterile Processing Tech II is responsible for all duties of tech 1 in addition to precepting new employees, taking on the responsibilities of a surgical specialty, including maintenance of inventory, instruments, and education in coordination with the Surgical Specialty Lead, and solves complicated problems between Sterile Processing and the Operating Room. The Sterile Processing Tech II may also be called upon to temporarily take the duties of a Lead Sterile Processing Tech when a Lead is not available.
