This position is responsible for providing patient care and assists health care providers in performing assigned patient procedures within
scope of training. Position receives general supervision from RN, APN, PA, or Physician in providing patient care.

The Supply Technician 1 is responsible for the overall management of inventory in assigned nursing and/or ancillary unit(s) as it relates to supply replenishment, maximizing quality, minimizing costs and supporting department goals within supply chain objectives.
The Inventory Control Technician is responsible for placing daily Par location orders, promptly putting supplies away within the assigned area, reviewing and maintaining Min/Max inventory levels, as well as handling emergency supply requests.

The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for the collection and receipt of specimens, proper entry into the LIS computer, preparation of samples for analytical testing, and the distribution of specimens to the analytical testing areas. Responsible for arranging daily activities based on urgency of requests. This position is also responsible for point of care testing as assigned, and therapeutic phlebotomy procedures. The PCT, including all hospital units and departments and the Float/Flex Pool PCT, under the supervision of the charge nurse, clinical manager, and/or director, is responsible for assisting in patient care, documentation and supply management. PCTs keep the unit supplied, clean, and organized. Additionally, the PCT may function in an office assistant role and answer the telephone, answer questions within their capabilities the patient or their support individuals may have, and perform data entry and data collection.
The PCT in the discharge unit is for assisting discharged patients, coordinating discharge logistics and assisting patients in utilizing resources and accessing health related services.
