The Maintenance Technician 2 maintains Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) buildings, grounds, equipment, and utilities as directed. S/He performs hospital maintenance as required by the preventative maintenance program, or as directed. This maintenance includes: plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, and light construction. Maintains records as appropriate and prepares requisitions as required for assignments. S/He will assist the others as may be required in specific repairs. The PCT, including all hospital units and departments and the Float/Flex Pool PCT, under the supervision of the charge nurse, clinical manager, and/or director, is responsible for assisting in patient care, documentation and supply management. PCTs keep the unit supplied, clean, and organized. Additionally, the PCT may function in an office assistant role and answer the telephone, answer questions within their capabilities the patient or their support individuals may have, and perform data entry and data collection.   The PCT in the discharge unit is for assisting discharged patients, coordinating discharge logistics and assisting patients in utilizing resources and accessing health related services.
