The PCT, including all hospital units and departments and the Float/Flex Pool PCT, under the supervision of the charge nurse, clinical manager, and/or director, is responsible for assisting in patient care, documentation and supply management. PCTs keep the unit supplied, clean, and organized. The Birth Recorder/Newborn Hearing Screen Technician, under the supervision of the Director and/or Clinical Manager, is responsible for performing duties to complete the birth certificate and paternity as necessary for the Arizona Department of Vital Statistics. S/he conducts infant hearing screening tests to determine pass/fail result. Tracks test results and refers to outpatient rescreening as necessary. S/he will be working with neonates and infants, and entering test results into the hospital database. S/he will have the knowledge and skills to care for the physical and development needs of this population.
