This position's primary and majority of responsibilities is focused surgical scheduling and chart audits, determining billable procedures, supplies and implants and enters charges in support of accurate billing. This position is responsible for surgical scheduling and is responsible for the verification and collection of patient demographic and procedural information by direct data entry to the Cerner Scheduling systems. This position liaisons with provider/surgeon offices to secure information specific to the requested services, accurately documenting the data in the encounter database, schedule book and iQueue software. This role also performs a variety of secretarial and administrative duties and support for the department, providers, staff and the director.
This position is responsible for providing patient care and assists health care providers in performing assigned patient procedures within scope of training. Position receives general supervision from RN, APN, PA, or Physician in providing patient care.
The OR Core Technician, under the direction of Clinical Manager, Charge Nurse or RN, is responsible for turnover (cleaning) of the surgical rooms between cases in an efficient and sanitary manner with strict adherence to all IP standards, requirements and techniques. This position will be trained and competent to open/prepare/stock supplies and equipment for sterile interventions/procedures in the surgical department. The OR Core Technician will operate equipment and utilize supplies in general cleaning tasks. S/he will provide technical services as assigned and directed. The OR Core Technician will also assist in housekeeping duties in public and any other areas as designated by the facility, and may be assigned to assist with patient transport to and from surgical services, and other duties as assigned.

This position will be actively involved in achieving Northern Arizona Healthcare's mission. The Specialty/Anesthesia Leader must abide by and follow expectations of a OR Technician/Anesthesia Technician in the Operating Room. The Specialty Leader/Anesthesia Technician provides leadership for their specialty, will be the subject matter expert ensuring regulatory standards are followed. They will serve as a preceptor, and be an active member of the healthcare team. Pharmacists will have oversight responsibility when non-licensed staff handle non-controlled medications. The technician practices within the CST and ASATT scope of practice and the standards of his/her specialty.

Ensuring the achievement of Northern Arizona Healthcare’s mission, the Supplemental Work and Transition (SWAT) Relief Registered Nurse, under the supervision of the Clinical Manager/Director, is responsible for collaborating with the Administrative Coordinator, Charge RN, nursing staff, physicians and ancillary department staff to provide patient care and facilitate patient throughput throughout the hospital. When providing services and leadership to the department, the SWAT RN acts as an advocate for the shift, making sure the Administrative Coordinator/Charge RNs are aware of the unique needs of the shift. The SWAT RN provides leadership for nursing personnel by being a team leader, serving as a preceptor, and being an active member of the health care team. The SWAT RN practices within the ANA Scope of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and the standards of his/ or her specialty.
The CVOR Scrub Tech, under the supervision of Director and/or Clinical Coordinator, is responsible for preparing supplies and equipment for interventions, using appropriate techniques. S/he provides technical services as assigned and directed, and assists with procedures. The CVOR Tech assists and/or performs patient procedures that are within the scope of their unit specific Skills Summation. S/he seeks assistance and support when necessary, assists in data collection, organizes those aspects of patient care for which s/he is responsible, and maintains accountability for own practice and those functions delegated to the Technician. Within a specified work period, s/he provides care that is consistent with overall admission to post-discharge plan. S/he practices within accepted ethical and legal parameters.
