This JD covers the Registered Nurse Specialty Leader. The Specialty Leader will act as the liaison between surgeons, staff, vendor sales representative, Business Analyst and SPD. The Multi-Modality Respiratory Care Practitioner positions applies fundamental techniques of respiratory therapy to patients in a variety of health care settings. Able to perform basic respiratory care procedures on newborns, pediatrics and adults.   Respiratory Care Practitioner CRT assists in the diagnosis and treatment of patients who have pulmonary disorders such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), collapsed lungs, and pneumonia. May collect blood samples, conduct tests, measure lung capacities and determine the levels of gases, such as oxygen and carbon dioxide within patients lungs.   Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT treats patients with pulmonary disorders such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), collapsed lungs, and pneumonia. The RRT meets with patients, diagnoses ailments, designs treatment plans and conducts tests to assess lung capacity and gas levels.   Senior Respiratory Care Practitioners and Specialty Respiratory Care Practitioner treats patients with pulmonary disorders such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), collapsed lungs, and pneumonia. The Senior and Specialty Respiratory Care Practitioner meets with patients, diagnoses ailments, designs treatment plans and conducts tests to assess lung capacity and gas levels. The Senior or Specialty Respiratory Respiratory Care Practitioner will have at least one specialty credential such as Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS), Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT), or Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS).

The Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department Sterile Processing Technician Liaison will be the main conduit of information and will work to coordinate and have oversight of the daily activities between the Operating Room (OR) and Sterile Processing Department (SPD) to facilitate proficient case flow. This position provides support and direction for case cart assembly on a daily basis and procures instruments from the OR Sterile Instrument Room. This role monitors inventory and replacement of all surgical instrumentation in the surgical services department. This position is responsible to form all duties of a sterile processing technician, including taking on the responsibilities of a surgical specialty, including maintenance of inventory, instruments, and education in coordination with the Surgical Specialty Lead, and solves complicated problems between Sterile Processing and the Operating Room.

The PCT, including all hospital units and departments and the Float/Flex Pool PCT, under the supervision of the charge nurse, clinical manager, and/or director, is responsible for assisting in patient care, documentation and supply management. PCTs keep the unit supplied, clean, and organized. Additionally, the PCT may function in an office assistant role and answer the telephone, answer questions within their capabilities the patient or their support individuals may have, and perform data entry and data collection.   The PCT in the discharge unit is for assisting discharged patients, coordinating discharge logistics and assisting patients in utilizing resources and accessing health related services.   The PCT in the Labor Delivery and Post Partum Breastfeeding Center does not provide direct patient care.   The PCT follows all policies and procedures of Northern Arizona Healthcare. They perform or assist with procedures that fall within the scope of practice of a PCT, and work closely with all members of the interdisciplinary team. The PCT may be caring for infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics populations.   The Float/Flex Pool PCT may be asked to work on any unit in the hospital that is in need of a PCT, change departments during a shift or be asked to work as a Patient Safety Attendant based on need whereupon the PCT duties will cease if assigned to sit 1:1 with a patient; and must complete the same required documentation as a PSA. Call will be required for the Float/Flex Pool PCT.   This position's location is on site only.
